Mens 3rd XI

Yorkshire Premier Division

Sheffield Hallam Men's 3rd XI compete in Yorkshire Premier, the highest league that any 3rd team in Yorkshire can play. In the 2010/11 season, Sheffield finished 2nd in the league, representing the best ever finishing position for the club, and consolidating the club's position as the leading 3rd team in the Yorkshire League. The following year the team went one better and won the league, the first third team ever to do so. Last season the team finished third.

The team is affectionately known as the "Academy" in that it is seen as a performance team that supports, enables and prepares players to play at a higher level within the club, whilst also embracing the social aspect of hockey.

In the 2013-14 season this team aim to match or better the league position achieved last season and remain the best 3rd team in Yorkshire.
