All club members now have access to the Physiotherapy service!

Physio will be available on a Thursday night at Abbeydale between 6.30-9pm at a heavily discounted rate.

  • 15 minute short assessment and treatment = £5
  • e.g. deep calf massage/back or neck treatment/ankle taping/acute injury assessment&advice
  • 30 minute massage/treatment = £10
  • e.g. full legs massage/full back and neck massage/total body MOT!

About the Physio

Ali Crewesmith is a player at Sheffield HC and has been involved as a Physio in the club (primarily the Men's 1st XI) since 2010. Graduating from Sheffield Hallam University in 2011, she has full HCPC registration and has Chartered status (through the CSP). Ali is currently working in the Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She is qualified in First Aid for Sport (through the FA) and has been on a number of post-graduate courses including Sports Taping (through the ACPSM) and Lower Limb Biomechanics (through the ICB).

About the Sponsor and Mentor

Physiotherapy @ SHC is sponsored and mentored by Wilkinson St Physiotherapy Clinic, in Broomhall. This season they will be sponsoring the Men’s 1st XI for tape and equipment supplies. Rob Leckie and Thomas Mitchell are both highly experienced in Sports Physiotherapy and Rob is particularly experienced in the field of Hockey. They offer acupuncture, electrotherapy (inc. ultrasound) and broad experience of manual techniques including sports massage.
