Sheffield Hockey Club

So last weekend saw several games, some massive wins and a few low scoring ones, but overall a good weekend.  

The Mixed side are back in England Hockey cup action this Sunday.  After getting a walk over from Stockport Bramhall last round, Didsbury Northern are due to visit the Dale so if you fancy watching the Mixed side try and win the Cup then come on down for the 1:30pm start.

In the Mens section:

• Mens 1 - back in the swing of things now and they will look to follow up the 2 good wins at the weekend with another one away at Durham University.  Always a hard side to play the team will be looking to reverse the 3-1 loss they suffered from before Christmas.
• Mens 2 - had 2 tough games last weekend in the North East and came away with 4 out of 6 points.  With several experienced players missing it was a good sign that the younger players stepped up to the plate.  Genuine title contenders Alderley Edge are visiting so expect a tough game!
• Mens 3 - Kingston-upon-Hull are visiting the Dale early doors and the team will be looking to stay top of the league.
• Mens 4 - are off to Doncaster who are struggling at the bottom of the table so that should be 3 more points then!  Local derbies are never that easy, are they?

In the Ladies section:

• Ladies 1 - off to Durham University, last time out was a 3-0 win so hopefully another 3 points.
• Ladies 2 - have 2 outings. On Saturday 3rd place Boston & Acomb come to the Dale and the Ladies will be looking to continue their 5 match unbeaten run.  Leeds Uni are the Sunday opponents and 3 points here would seperate them in the league.

In the Junior section:

• The Under 16 Girls are at Pocklington School for their round of 5 fixtures.
