Sheffield Hockey Club

The heavy frost affected the first weekend back for most of us, so weather permitting the campaigns should start this weekend and get the second half of the season underway properly!

In the Mens section:

• Mens 1 - are Indoors in Lilleshall for 5 fixtures in 2 days and a place in National Indoor League 1 up for grabs.  The games are against Cannock, West Herts, Southgate, Ipswich and Holcombe.  With National league status retained for next season promotion would be the icing on the cake.
• Mens 2 - are in Manchester playing Didsbury Northern, 5 points and 5 places seperate the sides and the 2s will be looking to build on the first half of the season with a repeat of the opening day win.
• Mens 3, 4 - are both playing City of York where we are at the right end of the table and they are at the wrong, so form permitting these should be 2 wins!

In the Ladies section:

• Ladies 1 - will look to put last weeks defeat behind them with a trip to bottom of the table Harrogate and hopefully they will return with the 3 points but the encounter earlier in the season was a tight 1-0 win for Sheffield, so who knows….
• Ladies 2 - travel to Hull looking to put a bit more distance between them and the bottom of the table.

In the Junior section:

• The Under 10 Boys side are off to Leeds University to play their round of 4 fixtures.
• The Under 14 Girls have 2 sides at Doncaster to play their 3 fixtures each.
