Sheffield Hockey Club

Sheffield had three players involved in The European Grandmasters tournament held at Neuss in Germany at the end of August.
England won all five gold medals on offer at the tournament for O60, O65 and O70 teams.

Richard Yardley, pictured in centre, was top goalscorer for the England Over 60s, including two goals in the 3-2 win over Belgium in the semi final.
 
Roger Lomas pictured left and Richard Danson right were in the successful England Over 65s in the tournament trophy for nations 2nd teams. Roger was captain and together they were in a strong defense which only conceded one goal throughout the tournament.
