Sheffield Hockey Club launch 'Play Hockey' sessions thanks to Sportivate grant

Sheffield Hockey Club is encouraging young people aged between 18-25yrs to 'Play Hockey' thanks to funding from 'Sportivate' in an attempt to get more people in the City playing the sport.
 
The indoor sessions will be held on Monday evenings 9pm-10pm at Hallam Universities City Sports Hall as part of the on-going partnership between Sheffield Hockey Club and the University. 'Play Hockey' will be run as two seperate six week blocks, starting on either Monday 26 September or 7 November 2011, which people can sign up to. Simon Law, Hockey Development Officer at Sheffield Hockey Club is leading the sessions and is encouraging people to come along and give it a try;
 
" These sessions offer a fun, social activity and are perfect for students, graduates and professionals wanting to get active. You don't need to have played before, just come along and give it a go"
 
Hockey sticks are supplied at the sessions, just come dressed to get active, shin pads and gum shields are recommended.
