Sheffield Hockey Club is one of the largest hockey clubs in the North with 8 men's and 6 women's team, including men's National League representation. It has a thriving junior programme with over 250 regular participants and has recently received England Hockey Club First accreditation. In addition it has forged a strong partnership with Sheffield Hallam University. To further grow the junior programme, implement the Club First policies and to position the Club to take on board current developments in the sport, the Club is seeking to appoint a part time (50%) Club Development Officer.
Applications are sought from motivated individuals with a good knowledge of both the game and the organisation of hockey and a minimum Level 1 coaching qualification. The ability to manage the delivery of safe and effective hockey programmes and communicate effectively with a wide range of partners is essential. Experience of writing grant submissions is also desirable. A flexible approach to working hours will be required.
