GS: Mark Mobbs 2-F,F Nick Mobbs 1-F Phil Butler 1-PS Chris Debney 1-F
The Sheffield Hallam M2 set out against bankers with a roughly put together line up of old and new but with the usual goal of winning the local derby.
The game started shakily and despite shipping the first goal sheffield came back to equalise and take the lead in quick succession. Sheffield took a comfortable 3-1 lead into the second half with Mark Mobbs (2) and Nick Mobbs putting their names on the score sheet.
The second half started with all the intensity of the first and a well worked short corner provided a penalty flick for Phil Butler to finish comfortably, exending the lead to 4-1.
The hosts did manage to work a back post deflection after good counter play to bring the score to 4-2. Again however sheffield increased the lead to three with Chris Debney adding his name to the score sheet and bringing the total to 5. The last word did go to Bankers with a good short corner being scored but this was merely a consolation as the game ended a comfortable 5-3 victory and a perfect platform for Sheffield twos to take into the season
