GS: Ethan Barron 1-F Alistair Haslam 1-PC Ben Rhodes 1-F Adam Sanderson 1-F
It felt like summer yet it was mid-September and the start of another season for the development team.
The team built up from experience (well old men) and youth started very well and started to press and thus spend most of the time in the Lindum half for the opening 10 minutes. The team were rewarded and with a well worked move down the right hand side of the pitch thus saw an opening for young Ben Rhodes who showed some great skill and scored on his reverse side of the stick. The team continued to try and breakdown the Lindum team however could not score any further goals that half.
Following the break and a well-earned rest for the experience players and following a good team talk the team then went onto score another goal following a good short corner and strike from the top of the circle by Ethan Barron.
The team then started to pass the ball around and following further good play in the circle saw a goal by Adam Sanderson.
Now the team were well in control thus some gaps started to appear in the Lindum defence thus allowing Alistair Hallam to fire home a 4th and final goal.
Throughout the game the youth played some good hockey at times and moved the ball around thus a great start to the season for the 9th team.
Man of the match was Ben Rhodes.
