GS: Emma Beeby 1-F Sam Casson 5-F,F,F,F,F Lauren Bell 1-F

It was a great win for a new look ladies 3s who had only four players out of 15 from last years side.
After the introductions were over we were out on the park and straight into attack.
New players Sam Casson, Lauren Bell and Emmy Beeby made immediate impact in the game with very early very sharp passing which cut the skilful but slightly less speedy oppo right out of the game.
A few minutes later and against the run of play Rotherham had Sheffield Hallam on the break and after a great solo run by the Rotherham centre forward we were unbelievably 0-1 down.
This energised the midfield and attack after attack went through Tash Hannah Lucy Pratt Olivia B and Tomi.
After this Sheffield Hallam  started to get low and serious in the circle and great positioning by Olivia,Sam,Loren, Emmy and Skye had Rotherham turned inside out in their own circle.
Great posting by Lauren and Emmy got the first two goals and at half time we were still looking dominant.
However some brilliant one on one  saves by the goalie Sophie Tomlinson kept Rotherham from increasing the score.
In the second half Rotherham started to tire and the fitness of the Sheffield Hallam side started to pay off.
There were more attacks from Rotherham in the second half but Anna B and Amy were solid as a rock and picked off any budding attacks well up the field.
Tash, Marni and Lucie Monfredi were Able to intercept balls as they popped out of the circle and over the 25 and redistribute effectively back to the forward line or around for the switch which set up the forward line beautifully.
Sam Casson went on a goal spree scoring 5 goals in the second half and having significantly more shots.
The goal keeping from Rotherham was excellent but after sharp passing and attentiveness to the rebounds Sheffield Hallam had it covered. Great start girls and great desire to achieve the result!
