We’re absolutely delighted to announce that the Memorial Hockey Tournament held in memory of James Brownhill on Sunday 30th October at Abbeydale Sports Club raised over £1,200. This impressive total will enable the James Brownhill Memorial Fund to continue to provide bursaries for a further 18 months. Thank you to everyone that made this possible.

There were several Junior sides in action on the 30th Oct, see reports from the Under 10 Boys and Under 14 Girls.

Sheffield U14 girls took two teams over to Bowdon in Cheshire to play friendlies against the hosts and Belper. With two exceptions the A team was made up Y9’s, the B team comprised entirely of Y8’s.

Sheffield Hockey Club is delighted that five of our junior players have been selected to represent the Pennine Pumas in the upcoming Tier 2 camps and competitions.

An early start on a Sunday can mean only one thing... the start of the Yorkshire Youth Hockey League and our U12 boys certainly made a promising start with a win, draw and two losses.
